I have a couple of these and was wondering how they operate. There is a single green lens at the back of the arm. The arm has the red lens. There is only one lamp and I gather that must have clear lenses either side. I can work it out can you help!
Im just rebuilding a mamod roadster and Im thinking of making it twin cylinder like the loco and adding remote control!!What speed can you get out of one of these!
A fellow Amberley volunteer did a little turning job for me the other week, and I've just fitted it to the loco.
I never liked the large, intrusive knob (ahem) that Roundhouse provides as standard for the gas valve so I bought this 1/2" cast brass handwheel from Steam Fittings (http://www.steamfittings.co.uk/asp/index.asp) to replace it.
