The is a blue (yay) bertie up for sale at my model engineering club, it has R/C, a chimney cap, bits more on the valve gear, water top up and is in as new condition for £390.
I recan I could get it for £350 or lower. Is it worth it? What are your views? Shoyuld I save for a loco at Stonleigh or sumut??
Thanks

Now, if you had an HST in GWR livery (lined Brunswick Green power cars,  Chocolate & Cream coaches) then you MIGHT be talking!

I'm sure many of you will have seen them before, but there's no harm in looking at them again

haha, I like the creations, is it a locolines sir theo?
I have just finished a locolines tiny for a friends railway that I bought a few years back, in the end I painted it all black with red buffer beams and BR crests!
What jobs to do?
Set of bucket seats in the front and have 'em up against the back seats- loads of room in the front then.

That looks like a very cool place to work Pete. Proper engineering apprentiships around "home" i.e. Gloucestershire are very thin on the ground- most are just sort of grease monkey jobs that I don't want to spend the rest of my life doing. Few big firms in Brizzle but they usually want degrees.

Anyway, uni is great fun and I'm really glad I went, sod the debt!

NRM feels that at the present time, Mallard will not be overhauled/restored as theres currently 3 other A4s working on the mainline and that all she is just another A4 that just happens to be a record holder so they would rather spend the money overhauling another engine thats unique

also remember it wasnt the NRM that built Tornado it was a group so you cant just say they should have spent the money overhauling another engine like Mallard which isnt even owned by them   & ...
