I've just had a big autumn clean out so I'll get some pics soon! Yes, it didn't take long for it to get into a bit of a state!
Fantastic shelf storage for stock there, I keep my 5 plankers and other low stock in wooden wine boxes!

Is it cold in there with those bare brick walls?

no, its attached to the house and traps heat quite nicley so when I go in there a few minutes with a portable heater is all it needs to stay warm all night

cool!

by the way are you going to set up your christmas demonstration layout this year?

For the 1st time in 20 years we are not going to do the christmas layout, We have had a pretty bad year all told with one thing and another and I just don't have the energy we usually do for the Christmas spirit....................

But here's a couple from previous years.............

And like Vegas it don't look 'alf as good in the daylight!!

Oh my giddy aunt (quoted from Patrick Troughton in Doctor who) Minimans! I know that things in America are bigger but this really takes the biscuit tin (not meant to be offensive in any way).

A- I wish I had a massive storage area like that &
B- I wish I had that many locos & rolling stock

That collection must of cost a fortune

No offence taken! I have been collecting and playing with G scale for over 20 years which I suspect is almost as old as you are! so it has been collected over time, and changed often as well, I sell and buy as I change directions in the way I enjoy this great hobby!

The old shed was worse!!

Workshops
I've got a simular quanitity in OO gauge rolling stock and locomotives, that I've just inherited and bought over the whole 13 years I've been collecting!

But again, I'm going off topic.....

Handcockshire... how old are you... and how old am I and a load of the other people?

Hancockshire...15...No idea

Well dude when you get to be over half a century old you can moan about not having any stock!! as I said earlier as time goes on you will collect and build plenty more stuff but you can only run so much of it at once....................

Oh and as for us old'uns being rich I still struggle to pay the morgage same as everybody else right now, just mean's I have a few things to sell if things get really tight.............Paul..........

The ANLR's workshop is so emabarasingly messy i'm not going to post a pic, indeed I don't use it as I just can't work down there, so I tend to do modelling on the lounge table, which gets me told off occasionally... As for stock storage, i've got stuff all over the place, some in my bedroom, some in the workshop which is on rails to be run straight outside

No matter what you here about the Yanks in 20 years of doing this we only ever lost one thing..........one of the candy canes.........We get people from far and wide come to see the trains every year and I let them run unnattended outside all the time and have never even had any damage (Except one year when I dropped the Orient express onto the driveway)....................
Workshops
I keep the locos in my bedroom over winter, and anything I am working as it gets cold, I tend also to bring in some stock to go with the locos on the shelf....
and some track,
and the occasional building!!!
Workshops
my engine are drain and oil before being but away for the winter my last runing day is on the 29th of this mouth hope to get a good steam effect
Workshops
MHLR trains don't stop at all! They keep running (whenever I feel like it!)... after all, I am in Cornwall! (but it did snow in February this year and I ran then!).

Shame you aren't doing a christmas layout minimans, seems such a shame to stop a tradition    and if people come far and wide to see it, it's a shame if they come this year and don't see it... What if you did one but on a lesser scale... i.e. a circle around the xmas tree outside?
Workshops
Well it may come to that, but I run my railway all year so I may decorate the main layput and if the regulars want to see trains they can take a look at that.
Workshops
